Reflecting Back on First Godiva Gathering

by Dwayne Kilbourne on October 17, 2011

The first #GodivaGathering had a great turnout, and we all shared fun times, great conversations about technology and business, and lots of delicious Godiva hot chocolates (and desserts too)! The event was a great success, and we look forward to gathering again in the very near future. It is very probable that this TweetUp/MeetUp will be held monthly, nicely snuggled during the week between CobbSM and ChirpWdstck. Also, if you do not live close to the Barnes & Noble at The Avenue West Cobb but still want to attend a similar event, just let me know which of the Barnes & Noble venues (from the Godiva hot chocolate foursquare list) works best for you, and we can get additional Godiva Gathering events planned!

I wanted to take a moment to extend some thanks to some people. First, I thank everybody who took time out of their busy schedules to enjoy some Godiva hot chocolate with me and the rest of the bunch! Second, I must thank the awesome staff at Barnes & Noble West Cobb ~ to Lynn, Chris, Emily, Tyler, and the rest of the team, thank you so much for the great hospitality and awesome service (as always). Third… to Marcia, thanks for going out of your way to listen to the customers in your district; no matter the level of concern, idea, or request, you actively engage the customer and empower your team to service their needs. Without your help and the café division’s assistance at Barnes & Noble Headquarters, Godiva hot chocolate would never have been brought back for customers like me, and, certainly, these types of gatherings and events would have never happened outside of dreams. Thanks for everything!

I brought the whole family out to this one; i had the Pumpkin latte; daughter had the Godiva; hubby had the straight coffee. Have to watch my sugar intake (in case my Endo Dr reads chocolate blogs). Ironically just went to Chicago Miseum of Science and Industry today and they had a Dr Seuss exhibit including his Seven Lady Godivas. (Google it)

Had a great time. You guys are always great to hang out with. Thanks for introducing me to the Godiva hot chocolate Dwayne. It went well with the yummy Oreo Stack dessert I ordered. Look forward to doing it again!
